Maybe I am misunderstanding the question, but if the question is whether all hyperparameters were kept the same for both test cases for fair comparison, yes they were. I may have forgot to mention it in the article but the comparisons were indeed fair as I made sure all the hyperparameters and all other variables were kept constant aside from the method and architecture. If I misunderstood the question, please let me know! Thanks
